micro motors ...what kv
 

hi all after recieving my m18t pro today:thumbsup: im after a system for it.. im not 100% on the kv motor i should be using in this little beast so any help would be appreciated ive been offered a hobbywing 1/18 system (7600kv i think) and a dynamite 9200kv ...whats gonna be best for the nationals and everyday racing?? and what kind of kvs are you guys using??

only thing is the ones a hobbyking system and the esc is only 18a whereas the 9200 kvcomes with a castle 25a if i like ...will have to see what else people have for sale i have an ad in the wanted section so if you have anything let me know :thumbsup: i do need batts too so a system and some batts would be ideal

For racing, slower is faster.

The first thing everyone wants to do is slap the fastest motor in they can possibly fit, but after all the breakages and drivetrain repairs they soon realise that a slower motor coupled with a driving style that concentrates on corner speed and consistancy will always get you good results :)

ok i didnt want too high a kv anyway i will be spinning on the spot everywhere so keep around 6000ish then?...also was going to buy vampire 1800mah 30c are they going to fit in an m18t ..i cannot find any dimensions anywhere??

my thoughts exactly, my novak xrs esc and 8.99 motor setup beats some of the tekin rs pro with novak motors most weeks :p

but i put it down to my driving :D

The dimensions of that LiPo are 87mm x 31mm x 18mm as far as I know :)

i just completed my first meeting with lwb shark, using a 9200kv, and tbh i think slower is better, but you cant beat, going large when it comes to the jumps lol
