SKID PLATE

I have run the DEX at a clay track for about 10 lipo charges now. The skid plate went from a skid to a dirt shovel... Uber fail... I'm the only one at the track with a DEX so there aren't much ppl who can help me, is there a cheap solutions for this? I have seen the "SKID PLATE WEIGHT (30gm BRASS)" at the Durango website only it's to expensive for me

Unless I was running the weight I didn't bother with mine. Much better. Same as dremelling the bumpers down on the SX/sx2/sx3

I've had the same issue only without so much dirt getting under it. it doesn't happen with the brass weight on. dunno the solution though :(

Over tightening the screws can start this deformation before you hit the track, so just nip them up, don't over do it. Might help.

Just put a layer or two of chassis tape in front of it and it should stop it from catching on the front edge.

By the looks of it it's full so don't worry about shovelling any more dirt! :D

I've been using the brass weight from day 1 so I never had this problem. But I'd suggest gluing the entire skid plate down with SHOE GOO. That stuff is amazing.

Counter sink the chassis and put counter sunk screws in sorted. It looks better and costs nothing.

can you not just make one out of brass sheet yourself, plenty of it on ebay, probably sort it for a fiver, most places will even cut it to size for you.
