New servo help
 

I'm looking for a servo with low power consumption, ideal not a high torque servo as this seems to be a factor in drawing to many amps from my tiny rx!

Futaba would be ideal as they also 25t horns.

What's suggestions? Not looking to spend mega bucks

Looking at futaba but unsure on what's suitable and strong enough for 4wd

Before selling your Savox 1258, try plugging a spektrum power cap into a spare port on the receiver.

The Savox and Tekin RS speedo combo is known to cause issues with glitching (I assume this is the problem you're having)

I'm gonna use a new servo I like to try new stuff :D just can't find a futaba with the right spec for the right price

Don't know much about Futaba, but you certainly can't beat the 1258 for the price :thumbsup:

ok the speedo supplies the power to the servo through the rx, spektrum rx do not rastricet the power, you have been advised what to try, my self and others have said the savox are fine and futaba will be more money.

There is a thread not even half way down this page that is about the best Futaba servo, and I already told you to look at the BLS series...

To be as clear as possible... Futaba BLS451 for a standard sized servo, BLS551 for a low-profile servo.

This is your second thread on serves in electrics, you have a wanted add in wanted for an ace servo, you want to try new but want to buy second hand, and if you had not opened the season to shorten the wire it would still work, then ur going to flog it to someone on here.

Show me a picture of your servo and wire length laid out along a rule........

Every thing you have is the best till you fook it up.......

If glitching is the problem, then a spektrum power cap will help (around £7)

if your servo wire is botched up - then consider sending the servo to Derek Bailey for repair.

Either way, it's cheaper than forking out cash for a Futaba servo which will be no better than the Savox you already have.

Who says anythings fooked? It's in perfect condition.... Including the wire!

the savox constantly brings on the blue limit light when flicking the tranny wheel.

bang in an old ko propo and the blue light doesnt come on once, ive got my savox apart now to check the soldering I did when I shortened wires but all looks well.

the cap on the esc is between the motor and esc and the rx is not touching the cap.

the ko servo feels so much smoother even driving the throttle no stutters or jumps. but the ko has seen better days hence is a spare so looking for a new servo if this savox is no good

Is this the same servo you have for sale now. The same one you tried to sell last year. You have probably goosed it when soldering the internal wiring. AS mark sayspost a picture of it. If its goosed take it out of the sale section.

No that servo was replaced.

It was only last week when you and coleman where laughing that if you move you steering from side to side by hand it lights up your reciever!!!

what does this mean dave? the servo is creating a reverse current like a dynamo?

correct..a motor is a dynamo.
