I think it's not the end of MA. There are things happening under the surface... let's wait a few weeks for the dust to settle...

Skye 10-08-2011 11:12 AM

I hope its sorted soon. They guys and girls on the floor were all good people so I hope they all have jobs to go back to.

And after last nights 4wd final requiring night vision goggles to see the track, and only 1 car fininshing the race I hope we can get back in there under the lights before the dark nights really set in again.

RoyalCBR 10-08-2011 11:52 AM

Unfortunately I think Moto Arena in whatever guise is dead and buried - a real shame :(

who is going to put money in to part2 when they got stung in part1?
thier face book page says its gone.... and there all looking for jobs

RoyalCBR 10-08-2011 03:25 PM

If someone does stump up the cash, I wouldn't be surprised if it went the same way unless something major changed

gazhillAE 10-08-2011 03:41 PM

So the indoor season over winter is cancelled then I guess

Skye 10-08-2011 03:49 PM

What we going to do all winter now then? Judging on last night, tuesday nights on the astro are almost done for the year I would think. Even with only 2 heats and a final it was too dark to see before we had finished. So does that mean no midweek racing at all in the winter?

I would wait for official confirmation of that as the Moto Arena situation is all a bit un-clear at the present time.

I'm sure someone from the silverstone club involved with the series will let us know the situation as soon as they themselves know!

mattybucks 10-08-2011 03:56 PM

I'll be announcing race nights and a winter series soon. Indoor off road. I'm just confirming the dates for the winter series.

While i'm on about the subject - what day of the weekend do people prefer?

It is a little, and I hope a miracle happens and it reopens, but its looking increasingly unlikely. On the MA facebook page a comment says Lauren has a new job and that Matt is still looking. If the staff are seeking alternative employment then I take that as a sign that it is almost time for the fat lady to sing....

And thats before I mention the £180 ESC of mine and the brand new £80 battery that I left with them to sort warranties on.....:cry:

RoyalCBR 10-08-2011 04:15 PM

@Skye, I am sure that you would class as a creditor and should be able to contact them and get your money back or at least some of it.

Where?

lotussmart 10-08-2011 04:27 PM

I think the shop was ran by http://www.modelrcshop.co.uk/ not Moto Arena. I'd give them a buzz.

Skye 10-08-2011 04:35 PM

@ Matt, Sundays are better for me.

@ Royal, where do I start with lodging a claim as a creditor though??

@ Lotus, I will give it a shot but I think they pulled their stock out and washed their hands of MA quite some time before this all came to a head....

tellor 10-08-2011 06:05 PM

contact John Barnicoat through facebook, i might be wrong but i think he ran the shop at MA

ill be honnest if they have gone, ( i have heard rumours of 200k) then you will be way way down on the bottom of the list as im guessing you have not got a reciept to say they have it to be repaired?

You are right, he did indeed. The problem is he left before I had the warranty issues so they never made it into his hands. They were left with Matt at MA who was going to send them back for me.

Unfortunately you are right on every level. I will be way down on a long long list. And I have no receipt as proof of leaving them with them. At the time I knew nothing of the problems looming so left them with them in good faith....
