b44 breaking loose

hi iv had this problem for a while now with my b44 breaking loose mid corner and on the sweepers could it be that my car is to light its got the brass cradle and straps but ready to race it only weights in at 1580g is this just to light thanks...

it shouldn't need anymore weight than that, what's your setup and are you running the rear arb?

branstonpickle 09-08-2011 03:01 PM

kit setup with silver arb 37 oil 2 piston silver spring in front 35 oil 1 piston green spring at the back

I'm assuming that you've checked that nothing is binding.

What about the diffs?

Front slightly tighter than the rear?

yep everything is loose and free no binding diffs are fine its only breaking away indoor on polished wood floor...

Did you expect anything different?

peetbee 09-08-2011 06:09 PM

I was going to suggest 35 weight front and 30 weight rear oil, but I agree with col, on polish its bound to do that!

On polished wood in my 44 I've found it responds better to 35/25w oil in the front/rear with silver/green springs.

I struggled with the tail holding on sweepers till I dropped from 35/30 to 35/25, most of the guys at my local club running 44's are running light oil in the rear shocks.
