Tips on how to fix LRP x-10 motor

Hello!
Today when I ran my car it startet to sound funny, like the gearmech was way too tight. When I checked it out the motor had come apart! The three screws that go through the motor had come loose and when I tried to screw them back I found out that the plastc (who makes this part plastic? really bad construction) "backplate" was stripped.

Anyone has any ideas how to fix this or do I have to get a new motor?:(
It really ruined my day!

Dunno mate....I have an X10 but never taken it apart....maybe I should sometime.

Anyway, if you have the receipt I would just send it back to LRP.

But even if you don't have the receipt it is worth sending it back.

I recently sent a broken V1 brushed motor (wouldn't startup by itself, even with new brushes and a good skim) back to hobby co / horizon and they just sent me a new V2 back instead! I didn't have a receipt but I sent them a nice letter explaining the problem. What good service!

If no one else comes up with a fix, maybe it will work for you.

Thanks for the tip, I have concidered it, but shipping to the us alone will cost a bit. And whats wrong here is that the screws are stripped and I find it hard to believe that they would send me a new motor.. Might try it as a last resort but I donīt wanna be without motor for too long!:(

Thanks for your input mate!

Because I bought it from Amainhobbies. Or can I send it to the swedish general agent? (since im from sweden)

Update: I managed to take the motor completely apart and the screws go in to a backplate made of aluminium, the thing is that they only goes halfway in so there isnīt to much for the screws to "bite" on. Therefore the al-part is stripped.

Anyone has any experience with helicoil or such or know where to find 45mm long M2 Screws?

Thanks!
