Rc cleaning and Repair services.

Hi guys i created a new website. Please feel free to have a look. Any mistakes please point them out to me. The website is quite new :)

http://rcrepairservices.yolasite.com/

Thanks.

You would probably do well to add workshop type photographs (I'm sure people want to see where they are sending there car), some before and after shots etc. I think you need to explain what is meant by cleaning too, as I doubt you are doing a full strip, clean and rebuild for £7.00. Especially when you are billing £10.00 labour only for repairs..

Just a couple of observations...

Nas 26-07-2011 07:36 PM

Thats great thanks for your help :)

I will add a photo section but i haven't taken any photos so far. I will next time

Dazzler 26-07-2011 07:45 PM

I can only imagine some of the dog rough cars you might get sent, in the hope they receive it back looking like new.. I think you may find the service a little problematic.

I would imagine most racers will not take you up in this too, as cleaning and rebuilding is the time for inspection, maintenance and replacement etc. But there may be a bashers Market.

And not sure what the leafy logo has to do with RC cars.. Get a nice topical banner.

Nas 26-07-2011 07:52 PM

Yea i think its mainly a bashers market this. But it worked well at the racetrack too. People loved my work. They said i put lots of time into it. Oh and about the banner i am sorting that. I am just trying to edit the banner thingy lol

Thanks again.

Agree with everything Dazzler has said - especially about what's included eg: does the clean include the bearings (clean and lube) or just chassis and plastics?

In the 'about you' section you say you are a team driver, but don't say who. Also whilst you race, you've not given any details as to where or at what level.
Somehow I can't see people shipping cars to you without more details and positive feedback - perhaps link to ebay feedback?
I didn't notice any details of turnaround times either, you may want to set expectations here as people may be expecting to get their car back for the next weekend after only getting it to you midweek.

Great idea I think! Just make sure you dont end up spending a week on a dog of a car for £7.50

You could put a small add in the back of one of the car mags to help drum up business.

Also perhaps if you offer a different level of service like at a car wash for example...Eg, bronze, silver and gold! Gold being a full strip and clean of all moving parts etc

Good luck

Nas 26-07-2011 08:41 PM

Thanks for the help guys. Liam thats some fanastic ideas thanks mate :)

liam 26-07-2011 08:50 PM

You could even offer a next day service if royal mail registered post is used by both parties and as long as nothing on the car is broken/snapped that you cant replace from your LHS. Luckly as your in london that should help.

You gotta look at it in terms of the time you spend determins the cost.

Eg bronze service takes an hour =£7, silver 2 hours £14, gold 3 hours £20 etc

Anyway Im giving myself business ideas here so Ill leave you to it

Nas 26-07-2011 08:53 PM

thatt seems a very brave claim.....
  • We guarantee to fix your vehicle within 24 hours and have it back to you within 48 hours
  • We Guarantee that your vehicle will be 100% drivable

HarlowS 19-11-2011 01:34 PM

I agree, maybe change the guarantee for endeavor ??? What if you havent got the parts to fix or you miss last post ??? Your guarantee is out of your hands.

I do agree with both of you, but i have 3 model shops near me with awesome parts back up and i order parts using next day delivery :)

However things can go wrong and for that reason i will change the guarantee..

Thanks

Nas 19-11-2011 05:58 PM

Just to say i have had some customers and they were very satisfied.
They said they will be using Rc services again

Its a shame most people aren't leaving reviews after they car has been cleaned/fixed. But we have 1 review! lol

Enjoy...

Thanks.

Thats a great idea Nasir , best of luck and it great to see a service such as this.

I tend to work and repair my own vehicle as thats part of the appeal of owning/running one of these cars , but i know there s a lot of others that just tend to run them as is.

Thank you very much :) I agree this is mainly for people who finish racing/bashing on the weekend and dont have the time to fully clean their cars due to their own reasons work, family and so on,and for less experienced people who are having troubles with their cars. Model shops do offer a repair service but they are MORE expensive.

But if i am not wrong i am the first person to offer a rc cleaning service.

Thanks again.
