where the threads go into plastic you should be ok (provided the screws are as close in diameter as possible and that the plastics are new)
but the motor mount would need to be retapped.

You can get imperial stainless sets and I would stick with it. Any reason why you don't like imperial?

edited to add: not sure you'd find a metric equivalent for the little screws that retain the hinge pins

Yeah that would be ok
U no I can't 100 percent metric it
But mainly the plastic screws are what I want to replace
I just think metric is better to work with and Easter to replace
And possibly a little stronger
But it's only my opinion

Absolutely love the car though metric or not
Its so smooth to drive

I can't see why metric would be any stronger:confused:
Nor easier to work with for that matter!

Ive got stainless screws in most or my cars and the metric screws are stronger but thats down to them being 3mm rather than 2.7. Also the imperial hex is alot smaller on the countersunk screws and is more prone to stripping. Use good quality screws and a mint hex driver and you'll be fine with imperial screws. I bought some cheap ones from Canada and the heads are a shite fit and like butter so beware of cheap ones :(

RCSCREWZ kits are the best I've had. You get EVERY screw and nut in stainless and the quality is top notch. I paid £15 posted for a B4 kit so expect to pay a bit more for a B44 one but its worth every penny. You even get a stainless bit of threaded bar for the steering link

Cheers mark I will try Rc screws
And get an e d s driver

I heard associated are going metric eventually
Apparently the new sc 4 x 4 is metricised
I no it doesn't make any difference in performance nut I feel more comfortable working with it
And if I get the fancy alloy bits I want they will be imperial any way

DMS Racing do torx screws in 4-40 sizes. These are near impossible to strip, esp the countersunk ones, as the star is much bigger than the existing hex.
You will need a decent torx driver (i bought a snap on one).

I would buy the x6 screw kit, and buy any other screws you need and go from there!

Hope this helps
Mark
