diffs

can anybody tell me on the front pully on the 501 there are are two rows of holes for the diff balls, do they go on the inside or outside holes thanks.

outside - they then have more leverage. if you place them on the inside they will have less leverage (is there a better word for this?) and slip easier / wear out quicker. The bigger the better.

When I were a lad we wuz tort it woz called "mechanical advantage" but that were back in the 80's and fings ave moved on a bit I dare say :).

I run the diff balls in all holes, all ceramic. The diffs will last ages before rebuilds. It also allows you to run the diffs relatively loose with zero slippage, due to more leverage / purchase / mechanical advantage.
