To make one X-6 take...

Hi guys, I was just wondering if there was any word on what you needed from the B4 to make an X-6 yet and if the spec of B4 used (RTR, Team, Factory Team) made a difference?

I know, noobish question, my apologies.

Cheers, Mat

e-mail Chazz at Xfactory, or look for a parts listing on their 2wd site. Chazz may be able to help you :)

You will need a B4 as a donor car. it doesn't matter which one, but it is important the condition is good, otherwise you'll only carry over the faults your B4 had onto the X-6.

The whole front end and steering removed from the B4 chassis will bolt straight onto the X-6 chassis as it is, no mods.

The B4 diff, slipper, bearings and gearbox internals are used, all parts put into the X-6 gearbox casing and motor plate.

Can use the B4 shocks, or Losi shocks. I am using B4 shocks.

B4 rear hubs and driveshafts onto the X-6 wishbones.

Everything else you will need will be included in the X-6 kit, the few Losi parts that are on the prototype car will be part of the X-6 kit. You will need nothing more than a B4 donor car.

No mods are required.

Chris, ever though of doing the Losi steering mod on the front, so you run Losi steering arms and stub axle, then you can ditch wobbly proline wheels in favour of some decent Losi rims?

I'm gonna do that on my X-6.

I have considered it, as I do dislike the AE rims. But the car is designed around the B4, so I'll run it as it is designed to be run so I can give true feedback to X-Facory on the car - right now that is important. It may be something I try at a later date.

Quick X6

I reckon that if you crash any B4, badly enough, you could instantly convert it to an X6 ! Alternativley, build a B4, in the dark with no instructions, you might just end up lucky and, hey-presto, shiny new X6 !

Mind you, you'd have to stamp on the body shell too to get that rounded 'fat-boy' look.

Saying that, for my sins, i've orderd an X6 and will be looking to use the instructions supplied to perform my conversion.

Thanks for the feedback gents, useful stuff. Of course, looking at the 2wd.com site and presto the information stares me in the face.

That’ll teach me to make posts after midnight… Ah, irony.
