New TRF511 Shock Towers
 

I´ve made new shock towers for the TRF511.


The changes that I´ve done makes towers stronger than original parts.

• More material around shock mounting holes and tower mounting holes (on the outside).
• Removed the outer shock mounting holes on both front and rear tower.
• On rear tower I´ve added additional inner holes (Shown in green below).
• The unused lower holes at rear tower are removed.
• Made the openings smaller.

Will make them in 3.5mm carbon. Might do them in 4mm too (not sure if it´s needed)

Parts will be made by Fibre-Lyte, just like all previous parts.

Sketch below show some of the most important modifications that I´ve done.

Red parts are removed (original design). Green are new.
Now shown are previous thickness around mounting holes.

Updated my first post with prices and some pics of proto parts.

Are these a direct fit for the TRF 501X? I'm not sure if Tamiya changed the shock towers between the 501 and 511.

Should fit, same shock towers on 501X and 511.:)
502X has different shock towers.

I took a look at UK seller JT Model, but they still only had 3Racing towers, so they are evidently not the first dealer to stock them.

Fredrik, which model shop (in the Euro zone, as your price is listed in Euros?) has them in stock?

At the moment jtmodels are only model shop that will have my parts in stock. They will have them in stock beginning of next week.

Outside uk there are no shops at the moment. So you can buy directly from me.
