i'm going up north in a couple of weeks,

will be visiting manchester and blackpool,

are there and clubs in the manchester or blackpool area or anywhere in between manchester and blackpool ???

if there is i think i'll take my car along with me to come visit for a night...

Depends on the day and where you are exactly, but Ribble Valley race Friday nights in Leyland (so midway between Blackpool and Manchester), and Bury race Sundays. Southport might also be near enough to visit, again on a Sunday.

Theres a touring car club in Blackpool that race on a Monday and a Friday.

I think Stoke race on a Tuesday but again thats touring car.

The last time I looked, Stoke was not in the Manchester or Blackpool area so not sure why this guy would be interested in visiting there on a Tuesday? Like Si has mentioned, the main ones would be Ribble on a Friday night but it looks like the dates are the 16th or 18th August, which would not suit any club in the Manchester or Blackpool area. Shame

You know I really don't know why people offer information on a forum, its always followed by a cock saying something daft.

I mentioned Stoke as an after thought because if he's coming mid week thats the only club open on a Tuesday. The 16th is a Tuesday, and as its only half hour from Manchester because last time I checked there aren't any RC clubs in the centre of either Manchester or Blackpool on any night of the week so I assume he expects to travel a little way!

So as I said in the week Monday and Friday night, you have Blackpool but its only touring cars. Also on a friday, 10 - 15 minutes outside Blackpool you have Leyland (Preston) Buggys. But given your dates these are no good to you so its a half hour trip down the M6 gets you to Stoke on the Tuesday, mostly touring but a heat of Buggy. All good clubs. If anyone knows of more midweek clubs please let me know.

Cheadle (Stockport rc club) runs on Thursday's and its in manchester just off the M60. Proper friendly small club.

It's onroad but you can race a buggy there if that's all you have, although it's a tight small carpet circuit so don't expect anything like a 6.5t to run well there. If you have an onroad car bring that (1/10'tc, mardaves,f1's etc are usually raced)
