looking good, i enjoy watching build threads, keep it up!!
the outer diff covers come from Fredrick i think, there might be another place making them, im sure someone will chime in with a link.
Also did you get the Nuclear diff covers?

what electrics are going in?

cheers

Dalton 16-07-2011 10:21 AM

Not sure what the diff covers are ?

Electrics will be :-

Savox SG1267MG
Speed Passion GT V2.0 Pro ESC With uprated Fan
LRP V12 6.5 Octa wind Motor
Spektrum SR300 Reciver
Orion Carbon Pro 5500 Mah 90C Saddle Packs

The Fredrik front diff covers are due in stock with us this week.

We also stock the nuclear-rc vinyl diff covers. These are self adhesive covers that stick to the diff gear and help prevent grit getting inside.

Their on the site under "511 spares" near the end of the list and are just £1.50 for a set (4).

The build is looking good, keep up the good work.

Wishbones/driveshafts ect all cleaned and fitted Along with a new set of HL cylinders and titanium shock shafts (Full set from Stella)

Looks like it is coming along nicely. Perhaps it does not change the angle, but your front axle rear suspension mounts (BC7) are upside down.

If you cannot find the front diff cover, send Fredrik Emilsson here a PM and he will help you.

huge change in angle...... rectified now

Very nice build you will enjoy driving as much as build.

I really like the paintjob! Do yourself a favour, finish the 201 before you test drive the 511. It is a very addictive car. Well actually both are, which is why you should build both before you start driving.

Fredrik Emilsson 16-07-2011 06:31 PM

Yes, that's my long rear diff cover v2 (without the flipable top plate). Glad you like it. :)

As Jamie wrote, he will have diff covers in stock within a week.

were these done on a 3D printer ? or similar ? Ive seen alot of aftermarket parts but none so intricate and well thought out as this and will DEFINATLY be after the front version.

Any other 511 parts you do id be interested in as the quality is 2nd to none

Ive already driven both as they arrived, the rebuilds are to bring them up to my standard of new or better. Im a bit picky about my cars, these cars from clarkey and V.Rossi were mint and worth every penny i paid (posibly more) but until i strip and rebuild them they dont feel like my own cars if that makes sense
