brushless esc question

Hi Guys

I have always run brushed so this is all new to me, i have bought a 1/10 buggy to try and see if its for me, or stick with carpet ovals. Its fitted with a yeah racing 25a esc (with fan) and a 13t motor at the moment. What can i safely fit motor/turn wise to this set up ? i'm not after anything stupidly quick but just want to be within its capabilities (and my own:lol:)

If it's a yeah racing brainpower system I would stick to the 13 t motor. Its quite enough! I think any turn lower you'd be putting your esc under stress and it may burn out ( trust me I owned one of these and had to send it back for repairs following an overload!).

Bear in mind your esc is 25c rating. Therefore don't use 2s lipo packs with c ratings above 25 as this will stress your esc!

This is a sensorless setup. Ensure your 1/10 has a slipper clutch to deal with power transmission.

Good luck!

hi

I wouldn't say is rubbish....but it's cheap:lol:

Ok if you are into bashing and not racing!

You are better off buying a hobbywing/ezrun sensored brushless setup....cost-effective, fast and smoother.
