Hi guys as I've not raced for many years can you help I'm about to order some lipos of the net and not sure which ones to choose I'm running a cat sx with a 9.5 motor , and was thinking of getting either intellect 5600 50c or turnigy 5000 20-30c is there much diff in the to as I won't get much time to race as much as I,d like please help many thanks .

I know a lot of guys at the club have had intellect lipo batteries with no problems.

One thing I would check though is the cell dimensions. Not much space in the cat for batteries and if you get a tall one it will foul on the belt pulleys. I know Mr dodd has some batteries that are massive and would no way fit in the cat as they are too tall.

When I raced a cat the biggest I got in there was a LRP 5300 which was 23.48mm high and that was a tight fit. So assuming these batteries are under that size then it will fit. I see the intellect 5800mah battery is about 23.17mm so that will fit fine. The intellect 6200mah is 24.88mm which i reckon would not fit.

as Rob says, cells need to be 24mm or less.......not even a tiny bit bigger will fit!

back to the drawing board

The battery size is 137.8x46.8x25 so to big then will have to have a look for something else . I thought I messured it so they would fit thanks guys for your input .
