Bubbles in my suction cup.
 

Right having slight issues with my airbrush. I'm getting bubbles coming up through my suction cup and I cant get a small spray. I've stripped and cleand the brush throughly and still the same. Any Ideas? Bugging me big time.

you got a slight blockage in either the tip or where the needle passes through to the head of the brush, you can clean the brush with a pipe cleaner and some thinners/motor cleaner, and you may have to 'create' a nozzle cleaner to. Also soak it in airbrush cleaner?

clean it again, the slightest bit can affect it. also make sure all parts/threads are tightened properly

I've cleaned it twice but I'll have another go. Used pipe cleaner and airbrush cleaner. I'll go have another go.

like said, make sure all the parts and threads are sealed well too.
bit of wax/sealer on the threads to make sure there are no air leaks etc

Also clean the really small parts at the end too. They're the main parts to get blocked. May need a scraping out. I use the blunt end of the needle. You'd be surprised how much gunk can collect in there.

Must have had a hair line fracture and I cleaned it and cleaned it nothing in it anywhere. Went to undo the nozzle and ti came apart, broken thread from nozzle. So I've ordered a Iwata today the CR 5 on Jon's advice, he's not steered me wrong yet:thumbsup: I can only hope they are a little more robust and easier to clean.;)

that's what i said about checking for air leaks and sealing the threads with wax etc ;)
yeh, the cr will serve you just fine i am sure. nice quality brush and is robust as you wanted. will spray most paints straight from the bottle due to nozzle size but is still capable of finer details. let us know how you get on with it ;)

Airbrush nozzles are delicate pieces of engineering, it's not like tightening a wheel nut so you don't want to over do it. As Jon already said putting wax on it or something like that ( I use some cut up PTFE tape if I need to ) make a better seal will help.

I think you got your stuff second hand ? It may well have already been over tightened before you got it. Iwata is quality stuff, I've used them for about 22 years, probably more actually ( :blush: Woah that's a bit scary I've been doing it this long... ), I never had a problem, everyone at college had DeVilbis and all had problems after they'd taken the piss out of my Japanese Airbrush, it did me through 4 years of college without any problems :p they're quality bits of kit and will last you well, I'm still on my original brush ! :D

The air brush was new. I think it was my heavy hand that broke it. Oh well at least I made the mistake with a cheap brush:blush:

There is that ! And Iwata are well made so maybe will last longer but you don't need to over tighten them.

Now going to try the IWATA!:woot:See how we go. Fells to have a really nice action.

Won't go wrong with an Iwata, they are wonderful brushes... I'm fighting the urge to buy another one at the moment, but I have too many already!

check your seals Etc because it may be sucking in excess air :)
