Clicking noise under heavy breaking

Good morning everyone

I am very new to electric cars, normally race nitro cars.

Anyway the problem i have is with my SX3, under heavy breaking there seems to be a clicking noise coming from the spur and the pinion. Is this normal? If not what could be the problem?

thank you

If spur is not damaged.. I donīt believe it is the spur/pinion. Have you checked belt tension? front or mid belt can do some noise if they are set to loose.

Just built it has per instructions, only seen the track for 10 minutes

sounds like belts skipping...If it were ur spur/pinion ud hear a screaching noise from the spur being to tight or something like that....I have noticed that the front belt is set a tad looser as per the instructions...maybe tighten that up a bit but in general...check your belts for any wear and adjust as needed. The manual shows how to tighten/loosen them. Tighten them up just a bit at a time and test.
