I use a Honda 7i (700W) and plug a Propeak 30A 13.8v dual output power supply and it has no problems with that. It sometimes does that and runs all the PC and PA amps down at Clanfield for a race meeting. The Honda is expensive and they now only do 1000W and above but they are quiet and reliable. The Kipor is very similar design if not the same and they do a whole range that are cheaper and output more power. If you want to boil kettles or power compressors then you need at least a 2500W or above.

i use a 850w for racing days an charge lipos an the kids have there DS an gameboy plugged in all day too with no problems,£70.00 of Ebay, you can always use a camping stove for boiling the kettle and use pan for cooking beans n bacon.very cheap alternative if your on a budget like me.plus its a lightweight and easy to store.

Which ever one you get make sure it hasn't got a cherry bomb straped to the side of it like paul carr's has.

ive got clarke 1000w from machine mart!! does the job well, ive powered 5 peoples chargers off it before and it didnt break a sweat! grab one on the vat free days that machine mart offer and you have a bargain! the other big bonus is that its way more economical than clarke tell you! ive gone 7 hours and not got close to emptying the tank!!
