EOS and Petit Race 2011/2012

Hi all,

Derek and I stopped off at moto arena in Silverstone on the way home. They confimed that they are hosting the European Offroad Series (EOS) in November and the Petit Race in January. Venue is pretty big, and easy to get to. Eos will have several events after motoarena. Start thinking about ur plans now. Personally, Id prefer eos over petit

I can't commit to anything without dates. How many eos rounds are you planning on?

dmcracing 04-07-2011 04:53 PM

Im doing them all.

Legacy555 04-07-2011 04:54 PM

It'll most likely be 4 or 5 rounds over the winter. Thinking of doing a few or maybe all. Will have to wait for the full announcement. Sounds like is going to be very well supported by the top drivers

Legacy555 04-07-2011 05:04 PM

Motoarena round will be on Primafelt GT carpet - same as Ardent

Legacy555 06-07-2011 10:12 AM

The EOS 2011/2012 is being announced on redrc.net this weekend.
4 rounds;

UK (Motoarena) November 2011
Austria
Czech Republic
Germany

I've heard that response has been huge to this series - really looking forward to it.

Hi Guys,

Things for the EOS are looking good. We are just working to confirm all the locations for the series. As soon as we have everything confirmed. We will let everyone know.

It is going to be a great series and well supported from the entire Off Road racing industry.

I hope to see everyone at the series.

Thanks
Scotty

Hi Scotty,

Thanks for your post. From another thread on this forum we can all work out that the future of the motoarena is uncertain to say the least. Hopefully the EOS can secure an alternative venue easily if necessary.

We must assume that the Petit Race is also looking into alternative venues.

Will

Sorry guys, we haven't managed to get the keys yet, so will be carpet with ramps designed by Buggy racers (Lee Martin, not touring car drivers :-). We will also use different track markings. All the feedback from the Petit event will be applied, that was our first attempt at buggies and we have learnt a lot from it. The EOS will be even better you have my humble word :-)

Cheers Lotus, sounds good

Hi all,

Time for everyone to start considering whether they are doing this or not.
I reckon it will cost about 380 euro per driver to get there and stay in the Hilton as before (based on two sharing a car/room).

If there are enough people interested, I can get the van again and take the gear and the drivers can fly (if booked asap) - works out at about 330 euro including hotel.

We have Special rates with the Holiday Inn Express (It's a little closer too, £45 a night per room if you quote Ardent Racing when booking, call the hotel direct on 01509 678000. I wouldn't stop at the Hilton unless you are really treating yourselves to a posh break and plan on soaking in a hot tub after a days racing.
