pre carpet cleanup

been messing around with my b4 at a bmx track near me and have this clay based sandy crap all over my car at first i just thought it may wipe off but after a considerable amount of cotton buds and mums cleaning stuff i still can't get into the knools and crannys anyone have a good way to efficeintly clean your car without compressed air as the clubs just started racing again and i know there pretty fussy about dirt etc.

i know i shoulda put this in general but i am an arse.

What also works astoundingly well is tossing all the plastic parts into the dishwasher. Disassemble the whole thing and plop all the small bits where the cutlery goes and the chassis in like a plate :)

dishwasher makes it shine again. put a tablet or wotever ya use in wit it and it will get all the grease and oil off it 2 so it looks almost like new

thx, will sneek the stuff in the dishwasher when mums gone out she'll go ape if she caught me treats all rc stuff like its diped in sh**

Chris Harte 16-01-2008 11:10 PM

Wouldn't the heat of the dishwasher make the parts melt, or become brittle?
Could you put the Graphite (carbon) parts in?
The metal would rust would it not?

sparrow.2 16-01-2008 11:18 PM

That's why you only put plastic in the dishwasher and no it doesn't melt unless your dishwasher melts all your knife-handles off too... ;)

Chris Harte 16-01-2008 11:25 PM

Nope, my knife handles don't melt. Do you mean plastic as in plastic parts or plastic as in plastic and the type often found in FT parts (graphite I think it is)?

sparrow.2 16-01-2008 11:30 PM

It makes absolutely no difference whether it's the FT stuff from Associated or the graphite or EA3 stuff from Losi.

Yeah make sure mum or the missus isn't around. They just don't seem to understand.... :eh?:
