TLR 22, More steering?
 

Hi Guys,

Just recently moved from many yrs with a B4 and B4.1 and am loving the new TLR 22.

Mine is rear motor and I have tried a few setups and still cannot get enough steering for what I like out of it. it has no where near enough steering compared to a B4.

Anyone tried anything to get more steering out of it?

I was thinking next to try is different pistons, bigger or more holes.
LEAD weight in front end?

You must be the first person to ever need to get more steering out of a 22 :o

try putting hubs to rear(spacers forward)

try and get as close to evans setup, I found this to have very little rear grip however.

front rib tyres

soften the front

more rear droop, unscrew eyelet, helps with more off power steering.

less front droop, more limiters in front shock

and I have found with other 2wd cars, that more weight in front increases weight transfer and more steering.

:lol::lol::lol: You could try 100% rebound on the shocks !!! LOL.

you could always cut 5mm out the chasiss :p

My setup is soft on the front. Zero rebound, green spring, 20 wt oil on kit 55 pistons. 27.5wt rear and yellow spring. 100gram down centre of chassis. If back is still stuck shorten rear camber link. Got my best result yesterday with this

So work off Dustin Evans setup is the go?

It has plenty of off-power steering , no on-power.

ON POWER and OFF POWER is poor on the 22,

If you think it has steering go drive a B4 for a lap. :D

also for more on power steering, try more limiters in front shocks, more antisquat.

and yes, nothing turns like a B4, but having said that, the b4 just gets too sloppy too quick.
