Trf 511 Re Release

Just wondered if anyone new what the chances are of tamiya re releasing the 511 or bringing out a worlds version.

If it wins the worlds, then certainly yes, anything else, from a business point of view, would be plain stupid. If not, who knows really :)

Tamiya and Hot Bodies both released "worlds" versions after the '07 worlds, neither of them winning. Its a great opportunity to release a car with the updates the TRF drivers are using. I would hope they do, the car is great however now.

We shall see

Thats right, Hupo didnt win the worlds when they released the 501WCE.

They must release a 511WCE  when Lee nails it

I´m 100% sure Lee will win.;)

I think they should release a TRF511 LME (Lee Martin Edition).

I agree 100%. A Lee Martin world's edition would be a great idea, and a lot of Tamiya fans would have to have that car. Go Lee!

no he won't , Cavalieri will.

muratti 06-07-2011 08:31 PM

What about Neumann and Hupo?

mikeyscott 06-07-2011 08:35 PM

Martin, Tebo or Mayfield are my pic.

Reckon the battle will between Martin & Tebo

Any fast Jap's?

Expect world editions from Tamiya, Kyosho & ??

Stotty 06-07-2011 08:40 PM

Was looking at getting a trf511.
I think martin will do the job for the worlds.
He is a good consistant driver.
Will be close tho. Will any of the worlds be televised or on the Internet?

noticed the chassis on Lee's car (in the newest oople report) appears to not have the lipo slots cut out?

that looks like that 3m carbon effect vinyl wrap that you can stick on your chassis as protection. you can still see the cell slots if you look closely.

Are you referring to the upside down shot of Lee's car. Maybe he's just using carbon chassis tape to minimise damage/scratches, rather than a new chassis.........?

Edit - beaten to it!!
