camber/ toe
hey, just wanted to confirm, for a better handling car (2wd buggy), should i use toe out on the front wheels, with toe in at the back? and is camber just for altering tyre wear?
|
The more toe out the more steering you will have but it will be less stable under power. At the rear, more toe in will generate more gri, however when the traction does go, it gies more aggressively
Camber does affect tyre wear but also affects handling. More front camber will give you more steering, typically at higher speeds |

more positive camber = more steering

Never run positive camber! |
Viewed from the front: / \ negative camber
\ / positive camver Viewed from the top (front facing up): / \ toe in \ / toe out |
Doh! Got my positive and negative round the wrong way.
Top leaning in was waht I meant. Called it the wrong thing. What a noob :) Thanks for the correction. :) |
