Buy now or wait????
 

Ive finally saved enough cash to buy a shiny new B44 but have been put off little with reports of weak rear top decks and new front wishbone designs etc. Will A|ssociated be bringing out an updated kit soon with these improved parts or will they just be upgrades? I guess what I want to know is shall I just go and buy one now or wait a month to see what happens? Your opinions are appreciated!:D:confused::confused::confused::confu sed:

since i bought the b44 4 week ago i don't regret it, i love it
as i know parts been breakage and replaced and that natural.
Since i had the b44 i have not broken front or rear shock tower even tho i got spare part for it and not broken any since i got b44

One thing i am surprise is there is alot of b44 racing last sunday at teesside i never saw a a broken b44 while i was marshall for my team

i am sure someone will have a say about b44

front wishbone are just an 'ease of use' thing, the BJ4 used the same method as the curren B44 system and thats fine, still is fine.

I have a feeling that the top deck breaks are coming from the balls working theirselves loose and this generating extra force.

check them often, add some threadloc maybe, also use a washer with a bigger diameter if you want to space it out.

Get one bought mate. Dont mess about. I got mine at launch and have raced at 8 or 9 meetings. Only cracked one front shock tower so far! Nothing else has broken. Its a really good kit. I'd reccomend it to anyone. I have enough spares to build another car but dont seem to need them so far. Oh, and it handles better than all the other 4wd buggies I've owned.

I think its gonna have to be done!! Ill send andy at PBM an e mail to get me one in!!! Just gotta save for another brushless setup now!!!:wtf:

i recieved mine this morning, went to college came home and now its almost built... the instructions are a little etchy as i dont think there is enough writing but hey!

the parts seem to be of a good quality and it went together well.... jus nedd to "run in" the gearboxes as these are a little notchy

A little notchy??? wot do you mean? I have read in other threads that you need to space the gearbox or somthing to get the gears to mesh properly. Has anyone else had to do this and is it difficult or hard to work out?

You need to build it to the kit for shims ect...Some are a tad notchy to start with but they do bed in just fine after a little running. If you shim them to run free from new, you run the risk of stripping teeth off as it beds in.

Come on Danny buy one before Sharpy tries to flog his hotbodies to you. I have run mine four times now and haven't had any issues. My gearbox was not at all notchy when I had built it and the build was very easy with no major issues.

Had no problems with the instructions as they are mostly clear, just a few issues with some screw placements not being particularily clear. Don't think the instructions need more writing in them though as they are an instruction book and not a novel.

I don't think you will regret buying one as they are an excellent car.
