i am having horrid problems with the front hexs stripping in the wheels on my BJ4 WE...

does anyone know (for certain) if the B44 hexs will fit?? so i can then use B44 wheels?

thanks

I had the same problem. I just purchased the replacement bits direct from JConcepts and not had a problem since.

Can you clamp the wheel tight?

If you look on the underside of the nut see if there is a chamfer on the edge of the thread, if there is little or no chamfer, when you tighten the nut it will stop on the small shoulder of the CVD axle, and as a result it will strip the hex in your wheels. whether they are Losi, Associated or Tamiya wheels.

It's an easy fix just dremel a lager chamfer on the nut and it will be fine.

The B44 hex's are a direct fit and you can still use Losi style wheels too :)

Will the b44 fronts fit, as there isn't much thread coming into the nylock part of the wheel nut? Will they be secured enough?

Andy you can fit b44 front hex's but you will require some low profile wheel nuts avaliable form nortec racing and can be found here

Have a look at the thread I started last week on the X-factory section, all this advice carries over to BJ4, XX4 and perhaps 501 and Yokomo? (Can someone confirm on these two?)

I used the b44 hexes on my s4 yesterday with no probs. All i did was dremel a lo profile front wheel nut down even thinner.

The JC low profile nuts go on (and stay on!) without modification ;)
