Rear spring setup

he says have a 1mm to 2mm gap from the rear pod to the chassis
but underneath the rear pod were u build the rear springs posts there is a nut which is about 2mm thick
just wondering how people set up the rear springs and how do u gauge it cheers

Having just started racing Dave's I'm a little bit curious about this as well. I'd be interested in what the seasoned racers have to say.

Doesn't the nut mostly clear the holes in the rear pod?

I set mine with an allen key of the required size below the plate of the rear pod. Works for me.

I always found the less sag/gap there is between the pod and the chassis made the rear end follow the front of the car, suppose you could say aggresive to drive. With a bigger gap the car is more settled and easier to drive.

Guy's there is a recessed bit moulded into the rear pod, so the flat 5mm nut should clear the pod, i.e. dissapear into the pod when it is right down against the chassi plate.

So then you should be able to set the droop to the suggested 2 - 3mm

Was some plastic catching the nut and preventing
It Sitting correctly all sorted now cheers

i should really take my pod off, seeing as i can see fluff under it lol
