Final's week... Good, Bad or Indifferent?

Hi All,

There's a few comments from our perspective on how last night went on the club's website (www.forcc.co.uk). If you have an opinion or observation from last night, let us know :) We should be giving the trophies out next week.

Regards,
Jon.

Hi Jon

Firstly i love the idea of the finals week its a top top way to finish a session however i do think there needs to be a way of ensuring that the "faster" drivers are kept out of the lower finals.

Having 2 drivers that are doing 19 laps when everyone else in the final is doing 11/15 is pointless and makes a mockery of the finals system.

My biggest concern is the launch of this system was to ensure that everyone has something to race for i felt sorry for the kids in my final as they were way off our pace however all of the similar level between themselves and having a group of faster drivers there takes away any chance they have of winning the silverware

Hi gareth, we completely agree. This has been addressed for the next series with the requirement that each driver must complete a minimum number of rounds to qualify for finals week.

Cheers,
Jon.

Think it was a good idea and made a great change without altering our successful format too much.

Only downside was that some of the driving standards went a little awry on the night but I guess that's what happens when you put trophies up for grabs. Personally I had a cracking night seeing how close I could get to Mr Drake's rear diff

Yep great idea finals week, i think all have learnt from the league and finals week, should be sorted for the next.
My only gripe is the best two rounds format, reason being Ed has been winning the first two rounds and then not doing the last or running 2wd meaning that whoever wins that round jumps past people that they may not have if Ed had won again, this has worked in my favour once or twice, can we not do it from all 3 rounds means its game on for all 3 and if you dnf one sh@@ happens.
I will be doing trucks who else is doing it ?
going to try an 8.5:cry:

Personally, not over impressed with it. 95% Drive like complete tools. Ten weeks of consistant racing decided in one week, which could be a bad week, holiday, work or any other reason why you couldn't make it, seems a bit unfair to me.

Fine for reginals etc but not club racing.
(Not biching cos where i finished either)
