Project Reborn......
Just bought a 1/10 nitro truck that will require a build from the ground up and since I'm new to nitro's I figured "hell this will be interesting" "let's document everything to see how it fairs out." Imma try to do a from the box, when I receive it, to it's first run on a track...... Stay tuned! Pics to come.

Top view http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...g/5015c680.jpg Bottom view http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...g/c958e86f.jpg Box with almost everything! http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...g/2df28de5.jpg Box arrived 1 July 2011 http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...g/58a41acc.jpg Open the box to find out what ill be working with... http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...g/a8462618.jpg Top view of it loosely put together, just tryin to get an idea of where everything went, not bad for my first time putting together a nitro with no instructions. http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...g/30a82b6e.jpg Motor siting unbolted in... http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...g/977a9d30.jpg Side view http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...g/fc99a2e4.jpg I was trying to find out what this was but I eventually figured it out http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...g/cac686e1.jpg Self explanatory http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...g/a0578fe9.jpg Top view of it put together and bolted down http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...g/caf11cbc.jpg Picture of the piece of crap servo - SMARTECH http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...g/118c3ec7.jpg RIMS beat to crap also tires are on the wrong rims. Doesn't matter imma probably get new rims and tires once i get this thing running http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...g/25db1b2a.jpg Back side of rim http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...g/362d69a2.jpg It should look mean when I get a body for it http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...g/bff5f164.jpg So I tried to get power just to see if the servos worked and I got nothing, so I investigated and discovered this.... http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...g/ad3c3d98.jpg http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...g/735f8912.jpg So I fixed the problem with my awesome wire skills and now I have power, but the servos that came with it are completely trashed.. http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...g/3c227913.jpg The battery wire going into the receiver was poorly fixed that will be next to fix... http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...g/dd11455d.jpg I also broke this part so im going to have to temp fix it until I can locate parts http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...g/f2bccfb5.jpg I've got a long list of parts that im going to try to locate and i also need to find 2 servos.... until then stay tuned :tire: |

You've got the tyres on the wrong way round, the 'ribbed' ones should be on the front.

I noticed it says DTX on the receiver box, so makes me think its a Duratrax.........???

The blue thing on the exhaust is meant to go on the intake for the engine, the filter than sits in the other end

you have it in the right spot, its meant to redirect the exhaust flow past the body. it would have a spot for a zip tie on both ends, not just 1 end if it was for an air filter
