BRCA lipo question?
 

Ok the BRCA say we must use Hard case lipos, lots of guys use soft packs including me at our club, does this then void our insurance? This was pointed out to me today! Not racing in a BRCA race just club level? Are the rules set for BRCA events or general for the insurance cover?

If a hard case lipo then must they be ROAR?

This should 100% be addressed to the BRCA directly, I suggest to Paul Worsley directly as a starter, his contact details will be on the BRCA site

The BRCA say that you must use lipos on the BRCA list for 10th scale off road BRCA sanctioned events - this includes nationals and regionals.

That's nothing to do with the insurance, so clubs are not bound by that.
For example there is no list for the micro section and soft case are allowed.

This gets raised every now and again and I'm sure that a quick search will throw up the answer from the BRCA representative (but am in work so can't provide linky)

and they should all be charged in a Lipo sack even at club if there drive batteries.

Good point Mark, no exceptions to that rule.
