Sx3 rear belt

looks like there are 2 options for the rear belt, u3858 (6mm kit) and u3859 (4mm), besides the obvious 2mm difference, where and why would you run a different size??

Belt

Would it not run abit more free with a thinner belt? They used to (maybe still do) make them for Tc .
