Toe out?

So I've completed assembling and was wondering if the toe is supposed to be out? I followed the instructions and made sure all the toe links were measured and it came out with toe out. Or is it supposed to be straight? I believe the front four links were supposed to be 22mm.

I run 1 degree toe in, hth

Hi. Front top links should be 21mm. This will reduce the toe out you have.

I thought front top rods were for camber and the bottom was for toe? I'll recheck it again. But is it supposed to be straight if I followed the directions correctly?

The measurements are just a guide really - a place to start. Adjust until the wheels are straight when sat on the table.
I don't usually use any toe-in or out. If I've got way too much steering I might sometimes run a little toe-in but it's fairly rare.

The top links are for camber but when adjusted it has a knock on effect on toe in and out. Adjusting the toe in and out doesn't have the same effect on camber.
If you set up car,(to degree measurements at wheels) camber should be set before toe.
Yes out of the box at specs in build manual, visually mine looked to have 0 deg toe in and a small amount of negative camber.Have you tried with 21mm top link yet?
Also make sure top links are in the correct holes in shock mount and hub. If you move to different holes links will need adjustment to keep same geometry:thumbsup:

Thank you rsj! Ill check it when I get home.

Any recommendations on the best way to measure? I don't think my driving warrants one of the expensive gauges that are available.

Bayareabasher 17-06-2011 08:53 PM

I just use a ruler

Yay finally got it!! Thank guys! It's now on 0 and rsj you were right I put the ball on the furthest from center on the tower so I moved it to the one closer to the center put the bars back to 21-22 mm and now it's perfect!! Thanks guys! Now I can enjoy drivin it!
