Glazed wing
 

Hi guys. I would like to ask how some racers achieve the effect of glazeing on their rear lexan wings? (talking about ep buggies)
Tryied steel wool but it wasn't enough glazed then tried fine sandpaper but it couldn't catch the dents and curves of the wing...
Any info?

grey scotchpad should do the trick

For plastics I'd use the copper coloured scotch bright, I was told it was designed for plastics, how true that is I don't know, I tried copper, grey and red and got the best and quickest results with red so always stuck with that. Also use lighter fluid or panel wipe / pre paint when you do it, will get a more even effect.

+2 for scotch brite

I forgot, "3M Prep & Blend Liquid" is really good with an old bit of scotch brite. It's like a mildly abrasive paste, it makes things more even too. But unless you work in a body shop painting cars all day you're not likely to have any laying about... It's about £19 a bottle so not worth buying... I don't know if you can get an equivalent to it in small quantities that's cost effective for you ?

Tryied with a green scotch brite that was laying around and worked miracles! Thanks guys. I just wiped with naphta afterwards and the effect suits me! Thanks a lot guys!

I just remembered that equal effects could be achieved with the thinner for corrector fluids. I'll try this one as well.
