b44 rear drive shafts popping out
just used my b44 for the first time and on the flat the rear driveshafts decided to fall out ! I put them back in and they havent come out since but when the shocks are fully extended the shafts are almost hanging out of the drive is this the same with everyones or have i done something wrong?

Either you have your shocks set too long, in the wrong positions or your camber is out.
whats your droop like??
Try reshimming your cvd's but from the inside rather than the outside of the hub.
.
it droops alot! will try that
Add more shock limiters inside the shock or reshim the drive shaft
if you can imagine a line from wheel nut to wheel nut, the chassis should be roughly on this line. otherwise try limmiters in the shocks. this may effect the handling (more front end on the flat and not as good off jumps).
i can see where bri is coming from but not sure it will be enough to stop them coming out double check the manual if it happens again |
how close are anyone elses to coming out when the shocks fully extended?
fixed!
i hadnt wound the ball ends enough up onto the shock so it would just allow the shafts to just slightly come out!
i got my b44 wit me now matt so if ya wanna check the doop wit mine on thurs ya can. standard setup will give you pritty close to the maximum drop without them popin out anyway
