Motor/esc timing
Hi all
Well, managed to never have an esc that has this function and whilst I've often seen motor timing talked about on here, don't actually know what it does? Also would a high or low setting have an impact on motor running temperature? Current application is bashing and not racing. Cheers matt |
Timing generally gives you more power higher up the power band, although will give the feeling of more kick i suspect. Running high timing will nearly always make your motor run hotter, so increase with caution, in small increments, and check motor temps immediately after your run.
The motors dont like running more than about 80 deg c really, anything about 60-70 dec C is optimum running temp really. Hope this helps Mark |
