What works best on wet astro?

This probably have been asked before, what works best on wet astro schumacher mini spike greens or the ballistic buggy greens?
Does the bb wear out quicker since the rubber compund is softer?
Is it best with 2wd front or 4wd front tire on a 4wd buggy?

thanks in advance

Depends on the astro!

Sometimes Schumacher greens are the best. Sometimes BB greens, sometimes BB pinks.

And now there's the new Schumacher silver too... Just to add to the confusion.

So basically, it's down to the track, and what people 'recommend' is used there.

As Simon posted there's no one cover all tyre....but from my limited experience, the Ballistic Greens are the closest to that. They seem to have been the tyre of choice on most wet astro tracks I've been on...with just the odd exception where the schumacher greens have been preferred.

You wont really go wrong with ballistic green spikes to be honest. They are often used as control tyres in some regions, as well as at BRCA nationals!
A good set of tyres to have is:

Schumacher yellow minispikes
Schumacher green minispikes (all round in 4wd).
Schumacher green slim minispikes with ballistic green spikes (2wd).

Some yellow minipins (for indoor racing)
Maybe some stagger ribs/cut staggers if you dont like steering.

Hope this helps
