Still random glitches

Running an x12 with nosram speedo, savox servo and spektrum rx, when racing randomly and unexpectedly the steering won't centre immediately or there is a delay, and very rarely there is a twitch in the throttle but its mostly the steering being unpredictable.

The things it could be -

When the Tx batts start to get low sends low or delayed signal.

Speedo randomly flashes it's blue limiter light even when stood idle just flashes for split second

Interference in the room

Dodgy servo?

This is all I could think it be, just wanting to resolve it as it's cost me a few wins and usually when the steering doesn't centre again I usually hit something and last time caused ballcup to pop off

It's not a constant issue and usually happens toward the end of the night when TX batt starts to drop this is main thing I think it could be. At the start of the night the TX voltage is usuall 5.6v and end of the night usually around 5.0v to 5.2v

Really at a loss at this one any advice be great

cant see it been the tx thats the issue have you tryed another servo with your setup?n the servo wouldnt happen to be a 1251 would it?

No 1258

Have you tried a capacitor on the Rx? This cured my random glitches when I had them a couple of years ago. I always run one now and don't have the problem.

Another thing you can try (just to eliminate it) is to change the servo response rate in the Tx menu's to a slightly slower rate (on one of my cars that has an older Spektrum Rx, an SR3000, but identical servo to another car that runs a Spektrum Micro Rx I have to run it at 11ms as opposed to 5ms otherwise the servo does random things).

ive known of problems with the 1251 but not 1258 unless its an older servo, have you got your antenna running near any power cables or near motor?

captainlip 30-05-2011 08:06 PM

Nah the antenna runs right out the car. Saying that I have been running it without the power cap

Put the power cap back on again
