removing glued tyres

i bought some new tyres from ebay but didn't realise they was already glued to front rims of a losi , i have 3 options, sell them on to a losi racer, see if they do a conversion kit to fit my cougar sv or try and remove the tyres from therims without damaging either wheels or tyres, it looks like he has used a liquid glue to fix them on with cheers in advance chris

Just bathe the tyres in Acetone in a sealed container and youll be able to remove them and use them again. Yellow compound seems fine to be used again, Greens i have been told aren`t as suited to this method.

Its how the majority of us re use our rims.

you could try boiling them in water for about 10 mins - just wait till they've cooled before trying to pull the tyre off otherwise you could permanently distort the wheel.

it's a method I've used in the past with mixed results...

Rears should fit I think...?

If super glue has been used you can try freezing them as it does not like it & cracks then peels off

rears fit nicely its the fronts that are the prob :( i dont really want to damage either front tyres or front wheels may have to sell/swap them with a losi racer

Boiling is my method of choice.
It's worked every time for me, but i've only done it 5 or 6 times.
