B44 LipoHi,
Hi,
Im being a dull returner to the sport here. I have picked up a cheap B44 with the Lipo conversion, however my Orion Lipos are too tall by loads. Is there a set of taller battery posts you need, i cant find reference to them anywhere, or are my Lipos no good for a B44. The Lipos are Orion 6000's and are new. Looking at them they do seem taller than my stick packs so i guess its down to batterys and car are not compatible but it would be nice to get them to fit. Cheers Rich |
hey,
Just raise the battery posts. Put some washers between the post and the chassis. You might need longer screws. MiCk B. :-) |
As Mick says, you can just space up the battery posts.
One thing though, are you cells these (http://www.teamorion.com/carbon-mole...-en-2-3.html)? If so they do appear quite tall and if you plan to 'go racing' then just be aware they are not on the BRCA approved list. I suspect this is due to the height exceeding the maximum dimension. |
Just watch out for the space under the side pods, there isn't alot of room under there anyway.

When I had my old trakpowers in my B44 I had to space the posts out like Phil said.
It'll all fit but you'll have to check your connectors - if using corrally style then the wire can't just come out of the top as you won't fit the shell on easily. you at club tomorrow? we can take a look at it then for you if you want |
