Cutting lexan? What do you use?

What do you guys use to cut out the shells as they always look perfect and crisp sharp lines?

Advice would be great.

thank you.

Just score the plastic with a knife and snap allong the line.

to save slipping with a knife and making a mess (of the shell and yourself), I use a pair of very sharp body cutting sissors I bought from huntersystems

I just use a knife, score and snap. I found it took me longer with scissors and I had to dremel to smooth things off and even then it wasn't as perfect as using just a knife. Might not be for everyone though as you need to be careful and steady.

Just cut a wing myself and scored and snapped. So easy!, I used to use scissors

I cut mine out roughly with scissors then dremel them. Lastly sand the edges perfectly smooth as this stops them splitting :)

I use scissors no problems just use the full length of the blade because thats how you end up with jaggered edges.

The curved scissors are much better for going round the corners of a body aswell so I would recommend using them.

Good luck.:)

I use a No. 11 scalpel, score and snap. Just take you time and be careful.

If you are doing touring car shells a compass cutter is a must for your wheel arches.

Thanks guys. I'll give the knife thing a go. I think I'm Qualified:woot: Watch this space it will all go wrong now.

score with a knife and snap, and use curvy scissers for around the wheels :)
