Whats the most popular Vega?
 

Just out of interest (numbers wise) whats the most popular Vega conversion out there at the moment ?
I,ve seen them all on the track and they all look VERY good.

Am i right in thinking the cheapest way is to go is :
Tamiya ZAHHAK DN-01 (from HK) + slipper clutch + Vega conversion.

Someone do the Math?

The RB5 conversion is most popular - I saw a post saying it handles the best of the 3 Vegas.

That way you'll spend over £300 on a 2wd roller with crappy plastic shocks. If economy is important to you, get a Losi 22, it's pound-for-pound the best (mid-motor) 2wd chassis out there, though the Ansmann Mad Monkey/X2c might have something to say about that.

The cheapest route to Vega is a used B4 roller (£60-ish) and the B4 Vega kit (not B4.1 kit, it would have different gearbox output sizes).

Personally, I'd instead get the B4.1 Vega kit, build it using spares for my B4 and some TRF shocks I have, invest in a SC10/B4.1 gear diff, and a GPM carbon front bulkhead (and maybe a DMS carbon fibre front shock tower) for maximum durability and bling - it would be an expensive car, might as well make it look the best possible.

In my opinion the rb5 version looks the best on track

RB5 version is amazing!! :thumbsup: By far the best 2WD i've ever driven! :woot: Put it in the B at Kiddi, before that my best national result in 2WD was D or E! :) Absolutely loving the car to be honest, also found an amazing wet set-up at one of my regionals, so anyone worrying about handling in the wet, once you find a set-up the car is brilliant!
