mini mad monkey.

hi, my girlfriend wants a micro buggy, i no what you guys/girls will say, get a shark :) i have tried but she wants something no one as.so we have come to the idea of converting a annsman mad monkey then putting a phat black jack sc shell on it,i dont no if any one as done the conversion, is so what where the problems.

i wonder if i could get away with using TC5 rear arms on front and back with the mad monkeys front and rear hubs, and would i get away with using TC5 driveshafts?

as for shock towers i will have to make them to fit a set of big bore shocks i have knocking about.

any help will be grateful:thumbsup:

looked at this idea when it came out, Its alot of potch really. It be far cheaper to convert a mini t as you can pic a Pro up for 50quid from dms and there awsome cars anyway. Actually thinking of trying to make a kit to sell but in ealry idea stage so far. But Mad monkey will have to take shorter chassie for a start. Most liky need an 8th scale style chassie milled up. but big problems would be rear cvd's. I'm sure there'll be some wishbones out there some where but as a kit you'd need bearing kit, Shell, Shocks cvd's and shock mounts. all adds up. where as you'll pretty much just need to turn a mini t rear end backwards and lengthen chassie and your done. much cheaper in ever sence, even for spares ;)

cheers for getting back to me

i have had a word with Si (mrspeedy) and he thinks it could be a very good little car, we no the chassis will need shortening as well as triming at the sides, as for driveshafts, i can use the standard MM rear hubs and use the TC5 driveshafts joined at the CVDs.

women for ya lol

one thing to note is that tc5 drive shafts will not go through the annsmann hubs different bearing size
you d have to use b4 hubs rear but tc5 wishbones should be fine too but a bit or dremeling and drilling out as the hinge pins are bigger diameter (ansmann vrs associated)
front wise the front hubs are proberly better as its a straight 12mm hex
my advice is if you ve got the time and patience go for it:thumbsup::thumbsup:

the mm axles are a different fitment vrs the ae ones be aware although saying that they could work. not 100%more likek 90%

After having at look at some pics I would say nearly everything you need to build a micro is in the kit !!

Its just needs a bit of modifying !!
