Finnish national electric outdoor championship series a.k.a Maastosarja
Maastosarja 2011 #1 - Jyvaskyla
https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/_0...L_Panorama.jpg Larger image Our first outdoor event was held last weekend in Jyvaskyla (Central Finland). 2WD and 4WD classes was run as practice race and official race. On saturdays we run 2WD official race and 4WD practice race and on sunday vice versa. All classes combined there were over 100 entries. Here is playlist of videos. Maastosarja 2011 #2 - Kiiminki
After the dust had settled from The Worlds, second round of our national series was driven last weekend in Kiiminki, 600 km to north from Helsinki. Bad weather was playing with us and friday's free practice was canceled due to rain.

Weather turned out fine, but moist track created its challenges. Track was in similiar shape as in yesteryears with an exception of large elevated corner on the right hand side. Friday's practice wasn't very active 'cause of wet weather. On saturday, first practice was run with layout seen in the picture, but after the round drivers gathered up and vote was held for changes in layout. New layout was agreed and it didn't have this blind spot under the elevated corner (as seen in videos). 2WD and 4WD's practice race was run and young Karri Salmela took his first Finnish Championship by winning the 2WD class. Harri Kervola On sunday 4WD and 2WD's practice race was run. Defending champion Harri Kervola started to the 4WD race with good lead in series, in worst case 9th spot in the race would be needed for him to win the championship. Harri didn't give any changes in qualifyings to others and he TQ'd the class.
