Need to find a supplier for airbrush paints in basic colours inc pink

Just wondered if anyone can point me in the right direction for where to get some plain straight forward airbrush paints for polycarbonate/lexan bodyshells....

I'm trying to re-create the paint scheme for this car;

But i'm struggling to find suitable colours in pots/tins for airbrush use - I need paint to match the pink, blue, green, red/orange & yellow that makes up the main design across the shell - I am told (by the guy who took the above photo) that the colours are all 'bright' but not flourescent.

Anybody have any ideas??

Thanks but I want to paint it myself ;)

To be honest Jon's site was my first port of call (i've got some of his excellent chrome paint & spray mask) but it seems... like alot of the other manufacturers he does all sorts of fancy paints - Metallics/Flourescents/Iridescents/pearls etc, but no 'normal' flat colours. In his range of transluscent paint (most like what I need) there is no pink :(

try everything airbrush and look at there opaque colour range auto air and createx will have them for sure, but I'm inclined to say that the pink is flouro and the light blue as well others look like translucent with a white backing, thats the way i would do it

The transparent page has two pages, see the blue 'page 2 here' button. there is a flamingo pink. Cannot remember exactly but I think there are approximately 36 transparent colors there. There is also the opaque section..
At some point you will find there is not a different color for every ocassion and this is where the custom bit comes into it. Grab a couple bottles and mix the shade you want..
Give me a shout should you require further assistance and I will help whenever I can.

Cheerz,

Jon

Jon stocks the Createx range aswell & it seems that pink only comes in the flourescent range..... i'm wondering whether to try the old trick of buying the (non-flourescent) pink in the Tamiya aerosol range, spraying it into a cap/bottle & thining it out for the airbrush?

Ah ha - seems our posts crossed Jon :) I've just spotted your 2nd page as you said - & indeed there is a 'pink' in the transparent range... I feel a bit stupid now :lol:

As you explain a bit of mixing maybe required to get the exact shade, but to be honest the true colours are rather difficult to guage when you've only got a photo on a computer screen as a guide.

No problem at all matey :) It isn't the clearest of buttons I guess. Something to look into..

Glad ya found em now though and just holler if you need owt.

Jon
