which lexan shell?
 
hi guys im looking for a shell for my dave been looking at the new speed 6 any1 used 1?

also would prefer 1 thats pretty strong also good down force any tips would be great thanks

The new touring car shell i think is the best mate it improved my car handling 99.9%

gt2 shell i tend to use. Really strong on the front and i find it handles great

ive always stuck with the pug 206 with a beasty wing, i find it handles great :thumbsup:

With a huge wing like that all you will do is raise your COG (centre of gravity) making your dave more prone to rolling in his speed corners.
Try a lower type of shell (speed 6) and I promise you will be faster:thumbsup:

thanks for the tips, but i have tried the lower shells before and i didnt like them as much, but since using the pug my driving has come on loads, going from like 20th up to 6th in the points :woot:

TIGRAAA! The speed 6 is very understeery so not too bad on large tracks as it provides good straight line stability.

But the tigra provides lots of steering while still maintaining rear end grip and from my findings is the least prone to grip rolling.

i totally agree its great shell, wast keen of it on the oval tho

oooo soooooorry one number mistake LOL.. its a great lil shell, looks great and handles great.. but everyone will prefer different shells, just depends what ur driving style is like i guess :)

i used to love the old 205 shell i had the 1 that came with the mardave kit was solid had plenty of grip with the standard wing for it think i may just have to buy 1 again

On an oval I've tried quite a few shells.

Some are more stable down the straights some seen to turn in faster than others, some definately get caught up on other cars more than others.

I always went back to the Clio Williams MK1, for me it was always the best allrounder

Now I race a large circuit track at Maritime Raceway and am gonna try the Speed Six Shell
