Radio control car for my sons 1st birthday

I love r/c i have bought a car few months ago he has broken it already.

Has anyone bought a robust r/c car for their kids?

It needs to have buttons on the transmitter and the transmitter to be quite small.

Any ideas welcome.

And no no no he cant have a baja king......... :D

These are cool though, my mates little boy had one, super slow although he still crashed it into everything, no damage though.

Try the early learning centre there stuff is usually very good.

mardave v12, cant beat it, had 1 ran over by a tranny van and drove back fine
also took a old one down to skate park and jumped it off a vert ramp to about 15ft in air and drove back to me, so if your kids broke that then there ist really much out there that i no off

Prob with mardave (or any general r/c car) is finding a general transmitter small enough.

I may modify a kids toy transmitter to 27mhz with a old futaba transmitter i have a home.

How about a Losi 1/24th scale 4wd rally or SCT
Cheap as chips and probably fast enough for the littlin or even quicker if you put a lipo in for yourself ;)

Try a steerwheel, they are easier to hold than a big fat stick transmitter, that you need big hands to wrap around the handset to hold.

your right there but you need long fingers to push trigger to reverse with steering wheel.
i think futaba megatech junior was made for the kids but that was years back i think.

Got my oldest started with a Tonka RC and now he has upgraded to a LRP S10 MT.

The Tonka has since passed on to my youngest son. This thing is almost unbreakable.

His birthday was today and I we got him this

He loves it. Nice small transmitter, very light, the transmitter has sounds too, horn, revs and start up.

The car it self only gos forward and reverse with turn. Nice and easy.

I would recomend.

Got one of these for my sons 2nd birthday, my lad prefers to push in around than actually use the transmitter  They are very robust, he has thrown it around all over ther place and still works now. Have you left it turn on yet, cos it moves slighty every few minutes to remind you. We find out this after hunting high and low to find out where the noise was coming from:lol:
