Kyosho Ultima SC-R w/Pro-Line Flo-Tek Body
I painted it to match the stocker as best I could... 1st paint job in over 20 years.
For those interested...I recently got the new Pro-Line "Flo-Tek" body and tried to mimic the stock paint job. It's next to a stocker for comparison. Below is the result. http://img834.imageshack.us/img834/2746/dsc0124zx.jpg http://img8.imageshack.us/img8/6229/dsc0126fm.jpg http://img842.imageshack.us/img842/3894/dsc0118gp.jpg http://img52.imageshack.us/img52/4554/dsc0119nl.jpg http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/2204/dsc0123pm.jpg http://img339.imageshack.us/img339/5571/dsc0120er.jpg http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/4048/dsc0121q.jpg http://img805.imageshack.us/img805/3572/dsc0122r.jpg http://img859.imageshack.us/img859/8708/dsc0131q.jpg http://img695.imageshack.us/img695/5778/dsc0128hr.jpg The body does seem to reduce the 'parachute' issue. Bought it as an SC and it's been converted to SC-R except I'm keeping the gear diff in it. And a few more now that it's been beat up. This is after about 9 heat races and a couple of days of just going round a friends track. http://img96.imageshack.us/img96/7475/dsc0377h.jpg By waltermydoinhere at 2011-05-10 http://img807.imageshack.us/img807/208/dsc0387q.jpg By waltermydoinhere at 2011-05-10 So far it seems quite durable. I DID add some Shoe Goo with Fiberglass mesh tape after I painted it. http://img715.imageshack.us/img715/4223/dsc0105vw.jpg By waltermydoinhere at 2011-05-10 I also (no pics) added plastic washers under the fiberglass before I added the shoe goo. Once it all setup. I used the reamer to make the holes and it's SOLID now. It feels just as durable, if not moreso than the stocker. (Which I also have shoe-goo/tape on) |
Nice job :)

Thanks Neil! Does Kyosho have a very substantial following in the UK?

In some classes yes but Short course has yet to get going in UK.
