How is this achieved? (Parma Paint)

Granted, it's not the best picture so it might not be as amazing as I think it is.

What I see is a ghost pearl purple over the blue. Is that what's really going on or is it something more simple, and if so, what Parma paint, if any, was used to get that effect?

Thanks guys
Chris

looks like faslucent purple and faslunent blue then backed with chrome to make it bounce and backed with black dude looks sweet done a fewq like that myself the hardest pairt is geting the faslucent coluors right when you spray them cause their watery and light when you put it on you think its too light and want to thicken it up with some more layers but dont 2 thin layers is all you need and when you put he chrome in the colour really doues shine and bounce through ;)

On the blue cars I generally use a combo of iridescent blue (createx) metallic blue (faskolor) and iridescent purple (createx). with black fading in the corners. All are Parma colours I think.
It's not really that complex, just light coats and smooth fades. I have some colour change / hints/ transparents / holographic etc paints, but I've not really used them to good effect yet. I've started using a combo of Faskolor/Createx & Spaz paints now - the spaz are really nice to spray.

Thanks for the info, guys. I'm just getting in to painting so all these techniques are quite interesting to me.

Jimmy, I've noticed the black fading in the corners on a number of bodies and it's probably one of my favourite features.
