Just getting back into the photography again, forget how quick them little toy cars move. Struggle to freeze the car in focus but have the wheels blurred at the same time. Any further tips?

Using a wider aperture will allow you a faster shutter speed to freeze any action but more importantly blur the distracting background.
Aside that it looks like you're doing fine :) |
Thanks, will move out of my comfort zone and explore the aperture settings.
I take the photos in between my own heats and as i never make the A:) i end up taking photos of the quicker drivers. |

As the article suggests panning is one of the key things to learn. And there is nothing better than practice to get that perfect shot.
