TRF501 problem with mips

When wheels turn mips get jammed. I used different mips and checked for broken parts and obstacles, but cannot find anything.
Any ideas?

When I had my 501 I found the pins from the UJs came out slightly and caused this problem. I ended up taking the pin out and dremelling a small flat lip in the centre of the pin so the allen key grub screw could hold the pin properly and that did work a treat.

Good tip Welshy, put some heat shrink over CVD too once you have done Welshys mod and your cvd will be fine!

Hi all!

Thanks for answers to my question.
Welshy40
I tried to do so, this mod has not helped me.
Now I'm using hop-up mips (CVD) 54118 and 54119 who have wide operating angle shaft, and problem is with them.

I'm not using front one-way.

If it is what I think your describing, I gave had the issue before, and it was the grub screw rubbing the inside of the joint...might this be it? Any chance your using longer grub screws than supplied?

Either way, try shorter grub screws and see if it helps!

Sorry my English please.
No, I'm using grub screws supplied from the complete set.

The only other issue i had was with the king pins and the castor block not being alligned properly and also caused a proplem. I used thin shims to rid the horrendous slop and that stopped all issues with uj vibrations. One other issue could be the actual bearing is ruined so may be a good idea to buy the RCLazy bearings as the standard bearings are cheap rubbish.
