Does anyone use the GTB Spread Spectrum ESC?
If so..is it worthwhile over the normal GTB for a 2.4G user?
Thanks |
I have a couple that will be going in when my car gets rebuilt next year, though realise that's of no use to you right now.
Think Chris Long has 1 in and maybe Craig Harris? |
I do use a spread spektrum GTB, love it;)
It seems a little smoother through the power than the normal GTB, I found the normal GTB slightly switch like even with a bonded rotor but the SS GTB has much more "feel" to it even with the sintered rotor motor the power feels very controlable. |
i run the SS GTB and also the Normal GTB, both run great

i'm such a re-n00b at this... Last raced RC10s in the 80s.
Got a new B44 and have been loving every moment of it. I got a Novak 6.5 brushless with GTB and have been pleased beyond dreams. I can only drive maybe 50% throttle on the street.... It's got that much oomph. I tried to get a 7.5 L (light) but they were backordered and I got a really good deal ($125 off) the 6.5+GTB kit at the shop. I just installed my Lipo 5500 pack..... good lord. Can anything be so much fun? My motor is running so cool I think I have it undergeared (but it's still too fast) it's finishing around 40-45 C where it should be in the 80 deg (Celsius) range. Running 20 pinion / 84 spur. I cannot imagine how those guys/gals running 5.5, 4.5, 3.5s and mambas even stay on the track. I drive in blue groove conditions, and it's hard enough to keep the incredible car at 60-75% throttle for more than a second or two. -- font9a |
I love my SS GTB in my buggy on a 6.5 and got another one this morning to run 10.5 in my TC so you have my vote :D
